Santos Escobar shared some bad news with wrestling fans via his official X account on Wednesday. The injured WWE star revealed that there were "minor hiccups" with his recent triceps surgery, so he'll need to go under the knife yet again for a second bout of surgery.

This is a serious setback for Escobar and will force him to miss even more time than already anticipated. He revealed that his ulnar nerve is causing the issue, so doctors want to check that out again. That means another trip to the operating table for Santos, which isn't great.

Sadly, as Escobar announced during his video, this will mean he won't be able to attend anything during WrestleMania 42 week. Admittedly, Santos had been working for WWE affiliate AAA before his tricep tear and wasn't really factored into much on the grandest stage, but he'd still rather be there to show face behind the scenes.

Now, that won't be possible.

Escobar shredded his triceps during a match vs. La Parka, El Grande Americano and the original El Grande Americano for AAA on 14 March. There were no concrete reports on a return timeline back then, but now things look even bleaker for him post-setback.

Fingers crossed that the second surgery goes well for Santos and he can properly focus on recovering. He must be itching to get back inside the ring already, especially following some contract drama with WWE, and he'll surely be disappointed that he can't even hang around to check out 'Mania live.
