From the home of the Las Vegas Raiders, WWE WrestleMania 42 features a stacked card, even if some of the build to this year's Showcase of the Immortals hasn't exactly been ideal.

To break down each day of 'Mania 42, Night 1 will be closed out by long-time friends-turned-bitter-rivals Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton going to war for the American Nightmare's WWE Championship. While Orton earned that shot by winning the men's Elimination Chamber match, his subsequent turn on Cody was shockingly followed up by the revelation that the Viper was in cahoots with Pat McAfee. By all accounts, the involvement of McAfee in this rivalry was very much a call from TKO CEO Ari Emanuel - also Pat's agent - and it's certainly split opinion amongst fans, particularly in how there was already such history in place between Rhodes and Orton.

Elsewhere on Night 1, WrestleMania 42 will see Stephanie Vaquer defending her Women's World Championship against Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan. This one has gotten particularly intense in recent weeks, not least in how Liv ended up with a giant lump on her forehead after La Primera had shoved Morgan into her Judgment Day stablemate, Roxanne Perez. Of course, it remains to be seen whether Perez or possibly even Raquel Rodriguez will get involved here to give Morgan the edge.

In other Night 1 title matches, AJ Lee defends her Women's Intercontinental Championship against heated rival and former champ Becky Lynch, which marks AJ's first WrestleMania since WrestleMania 31 back in 2015. Then there's the small matter of the Women's Tag Team Champions, with Lash Legend and Nia Jax scheduled to defend those belts against the Bella Twins, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, and Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. However, the Bellas' role in that match is currently a little up in the air due to an ankle injury suffered by Nikki Bella a few weeks back - all amidst rumours that the Kabuki Warriors could factor into this match if Nikki isn't cleared in time.

Rounding out WrestleMania 42 Night 1, it's the Usos and LA Knight opening the PLE as they go up against Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and social media superstar IShowSpeed; two former World Champions collide when Gunther and Seth Rollins square off; and Drew McIntyre, another former World Champion, has his hands full with the Samoan Werewolf, Jacob Fatu, in an unsanctioned match that could threaten to steal the entire show.

For Night 2 of WrestleMania 42, the main event is easily the most hotly anticipated match on the entire card, as CM Punk defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns. Not just did these two share the ring in the Night 1 main event of WrestleMania 41, but their history dates all the way back to Punk's previous WWE run and the introduction of the Shield. Throw in the verbal shots fired by the two in recent months, and the sheer star power of both talents, and this one feels absolutely massive.

Likewise, Rhea Ripley challenging for Jade Cargill's WWE Women's Championship feels like another big-time bout, with Mami one of the most popular stars in the company, and Jade one of the most dominant, as backed up by the fact that Cargill has only lost four one-on-one matches during her time in WWE. As an added caveat, Jade now has B-Fab and Michin in her corner, while Ripley is expected to have Iyo Sky watching her back.

In terms of other gold on the line on Night 2, Sami Zayn defends his recently won United States Championship against the ever-charismatic Trick Williams, and Intercontinental Champion Penta heads up a ladder match featuring Je'Von Evans, Dragon Lee, JD McDonagh, Rusev, and the legendary Rey Mysterio.

Arguably the best built WrestleMania 42 match of the lot, Night 2 will open with what could be an all-timer of a hoss fight as Oba Femi faces Brock Lesnar. For certain missteps that have been made ahead of 'Mania 42, Femi vs. Lesnar has been crafted masterfully, with the Ruler looking to make his mark on the main roster as he faces Paul Heyman's Beast Incarnate.

Completing the Night 2 line-up, after months and months of tensions, former stablemates Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio face off. After Dirty Dom led the beatdown that saw Balor kicked out of the Judgment Day earlier this year, the Irishman has upped the ante for WrestleMania 42 as he brings back his Demon persona for the first time in three years.

Away from the in-ring of WrestleMania 42, record-setting 17-time World Champion John Cena is on hosting duties for both days, with an interaction with Danhausen already teased, and Night 2 is expected to see the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame class get the spotlight at Allegiant Stadium.

And remember, you can now get Surfshark for only $1.78 per month until 19 April.
