Having suffered a legitimate broken hand injury in the build to AEW All In last month, there's now an update on Willow Nightingale's status.

Per Fightful Select, Willow is expected to remain on TV while she recovers from this injury, and this is something that's been the plan from the moment the now-former AEW Women's Champion suffered this injury.

This report also comes on the heels of Nightingale appearing on this past week's Dynamite, where she shared a segment with Thekla and Mercedes Mone, with many expecting to eventually get a triple threat bout between those three.

Of course, as alluded to, Willow Nightingale lost the AEW Women's Title to Mercedes at All In, with that reign clocking in at a relatively brief 35 days. Prior to that, Willow defeated Thekla for that particular piece of gold at AEW Redemption back in July, though Nightingale would only have one successful title defence - beating Maya World on Collision the week before All In - before losing the belt to the CEO.

Up next for AEW, it's All Out on Sunday, September 27th, and it remains to be seen whether we'll get some variation of Mercedes vs. Willow vs. Thekla at that PPV. While she's clearly still recovering from her broken hand, that didn't stop Willow Nightingale from putting in a heck of a performance against Mercedes at All In; a hard-hitting belter of a match that was likely only topped at All In by the phenomenal main event from Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega.
