Latest Update On Drew McIntyre's Neck Injury & WWE Status
New details on WWE's Drew McIntyre, who is suffering from a neck injury.
Injured WWE star Drew McIntyre has been seen sporting a neck brace recently, reports PWInsider's Mike Johnson.
On top of this, Johnson states that McIntyre has also been spotted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania multiple times over the past few days. One of the locations Drew visited in the city was the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, where he underwent tests on his injured neck. WWE talents like The Great Khali have previously used that specific hospital for surgery.
This latest update comes following the events of WWE Day 1, where McIntyre was seemingly written off television following a backstage beatdown by Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss, having already defeated the latter earlier in the night. WWE did this to allow McIntyre to take time off for what were described by PWInsider as "nagging" neck issues.
Last week, Johnson reported that McIntyre wasn't backstage at Friday's episode of SmackDown or that weekend's house shows.
In addition to all of this, Dave Meltzer writes in the latest Figure Four Online/Wrestling Observer Daily Update that McIntyre is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his neck this week, which should help determine the severity of any issues.
Best wishes to Drew in his recovery.
