Originally Inoki had suggested he wrestle Hulk Hogan in the main event. However, when Bischoff asked Hogan if he'd be interested he rejected the offer (To be honest you can't blame him). One man that was up for the risky adventure was Ric Flair. Speaking about the event in 2014 Flair said "I just thought it would be an experience to remember later in life.”
