Could AEW staples the Young Bucks have one eye on in-ring retirement? Maybe...

Speaking on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer has gotten people talking about Matt and Nick Jackson potentially winding down their pro wrestling careers.

Apart from Adam Page, Meltzer said he's not sure how long the rest of the Elite - as in, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks - intend to keep wrestling, and that Matt Jackson, specifically, has already considered retiring. The Observer founder has heard that the Bucks' current AEW contract may be their last, and that they are set for life financially. When discussing Omega, Meltzer is under the impression that the current AEW World Champion will continue to wrestle for as long as he's able to, whereas Hangman Page should continue to wrestle long after his Elite buddies simply due to being younger than Kenny and the Jacksons.

However, since those initial comments, Dave Meltzer has taken to X to say that his words, despite being reported as a news story on the Wrestling Observer website, were "misinterpreted" and that he has not spoken directly to the Young Bucks about this matter.

Of course, up next for the Young Bucks is a shot at the AEW Tag Team Championships held by Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, when these two teams clash at All In this weekend in what many fans deem a dream match. And if you happen to be in the area for All In on Sunday, why not pop along to our WhatCulture Wrestling Live event, featuring all of your WhatCulture favourites, and taking place mere minutes from Wembley Stadium.
