Major Survivor Series 2021 Change Announced On WWE Raw
The traditional men's Survivor Series match just got shaken up in a big way.
Bobby Lashley has replaced Dominik Mysterio on the men's elimination team for the traditional five-on-five match at Survivor Series 2021 (21 November).
This was confirmed on last night's episode of Raw. Authority figure Adam Pearce pointed out that Dominik was the only wrestler on the red side who wasn't a former World Champion, leading to him booking a match that stipulated the younger Mysterio would only keep his place in the event of a victory.
Dominik's opponent, Bobby Lashley, put the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion down in around five minutes. Rey Mysterio's ringside assistance was useless as Dom was restricted only to a couple of hope spots, building towards him tapping out to the Hurt Lock.
This was the first time Lashley had wrestled on television since falling to Goldberg at Crown Jewel 2021 (21 October). In addition, his manager MVP was by his side after just under two months away, having undergone knee surgery in September.
Lashley's addition to the Raw Survivor Series team means the five-man group finally has a wrestler who has been on the red brand for longer than two weeks. Prior to last night, the entire unit (completed by Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, and Rey) was on SmackDown before the 2021 Draft before changes came into play on 22 October.
