Fresh off winning her second consecutive Owen Hart Cup at Forbidden Door this past weekend, AEW's Mercedes Moné has gone and teased a huge match for WrestleDream later this year.

Taking to Instagram, the CEO cheekily posted a fan-made match graphic for a WrestleDream bout between her and Davina Rose. For those not aware, Davina Rose is the name a certain Bayley went by on the independent scene prior to landing in WWE in late 2012.

Of course, this Insta post has got plenty of people talking, adding further fuel to the fire that Bayley could eventually end up joining Mercedes in AEW.

Interestingly, recent reports indicate that Bayley's existing WWE deal is up next year, meaning the Role Model could well opt to test the free agency waters, whether that's to explore her options elsewhere or to give herself extra leverage for re-upping with WWE. These same reports also note that, obviously, WWE is very keen to keep hold of Bayley and get her tied down to a new deal.

Long-time best friends, Mercedes Moné and Bayley have always had fantastic chemistry together in the ring and out, be that as on-screen besties or mortal enemies. The two also have some of the very best, most influential and important matches in modern WWE history and beyond, with their NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn and NXT TakeOver: Respect contests, in particular, being complete gamechangers for the future of women's wrestling in the company.

In terms of WWE, it's approaching 14 years for Bayley under the WWE banner, and one could realistically say she's done all there is to do with the market leader; a five-time World Champion, a two-time Tag Team Champion, a Royal Rumble winner, a Money in the Bank winner, big WrestleMania matches, greats runs as both a hero and a heel, as a singles act and in a tag team or faction.

Whether Bayley does end up in AEW remains to be seen, but it appears that Mercedes Moné is certainly keen to be reunited with her best pal.

As for AEW WrestleDream, a 2026 edition of this PPV has yet to be formally announced as of this writing, though the event has taken place each October since it debuted in 2023.
