The bout itself was a classic, with Foley putting in a vintage hardcore performance against Edge. We saw thumbtacks and barbed wirewrapped around a bat, Mr. Socko and even Foleys abdomenin a number of gruelling spots. Undoubtedly though, it was the matchs finish that was the most incredible. After Lita set a table alight on the outside of the ring, a prone Foley was speared from the apron and through the flaming object below, crashing in a literal blaze of glory.Though the flames were extinguished fairly sharpish, I cant imagine a plaid shirt would have been enough to save him from some degree of burn.
