5. NXT Women's Title: Shayna Baszler (C) Vs. Nikki Cross

Result: Baszler chokes Cross out to retain the strap (9:25).

Rating: This was a solid, physical title match bolstered by strong psychology, even if Baszler's in-ring style ultimately isn't that interesting. Still, they sensibly kept things brief, allowing both competitors to get in, do their thing and get out.

The ending definitely threatened to be silly with Cross smiling before passing out, but it basically worked and added yet another layer to her character.

The real story here, of course, is that Cross is most likely due to be imminently called up to the main roster, and if so, this was a fine way to play her out. 6/10
