Rating: NXT PPV main events have a tendency to fall a tad short of the mark, but this was absolutely fantastic and easily one of the best in a long, long time.

From the stiff work that kicked things off to the almost unbearably tense counters and kick-outs later on, not to mention Zelina's interference leading to the pay-off that was Candice LeRae getting involved, it was a dynamic, consistently thrilling bout.

The finish could've been stronger and many fans were clearly mad about the result, but at least they didn't go the most predictable route of having Ciampa show up to cost Gargano the win (they saved that for the post-match).

With an epic length and stellar physical showing from both men, it could've gone either way and still been a top-tier NXT main event. 9/10
