A fine tandem they may be, the desire to see the duo in their moment of glory simply wasn’t there by the time of their title ascension.

Provided the Toxic Attraction duo of Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin move on from NXT in lieu of Mandy Rose’s abrupt release, there’s really no one else who could serve as Chance and Carter’s successors other than Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley.

Scan the list of tag teams who’ve challenged for the championships throughout 2022; there’s literally no one else worthy enough. Persia Pirotta was let go, so it won’t be her and Indi Hartwell. Roxanne Perez is the NXT Women’s Champion now, presumably ruling out herself and Wendy Choo. Zoey Stark battered Nikkita Lyons recently, so don’t expect them to be going after the straps. It’s hardly going to be Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon, is it?

The division is nonexistent, as is the requirement for such championships. It doesn’t really matter who follows in Katana Chance and Kayden Carter’s footsteps ultimately.
