Betcha forgot this match was for the Intercontinental belt too, huh? So much emphasis was put on Warrior pinning Hogan clean as a sheet in the middle of the ring to win the WWE Championship, that most fail to remember that it was title for title. Warrior's IC gold was on the line, even if it is hard to picture Hogan holding that particular belt. What more can be said about a match that divided the fanbase, and brought the best out of two wrestlers who were more inclined to work basic brawling styles? The drama built masterfully between two men who carefully assembled (with Pat Patterson's help) an all-timer that remains at the forefront of WWE lore.
