2. Macho Man Randy Savage Vs. Ricky Steamboat (WrestleMania 3)
Anyone that wants to swap this and my number one pick around, go ahead. I won't argue too vigorously if you believe that Savage vs. Steamboat is the greatest IC title match at WrestleMania, or even the greatest WrestleMania match of all time, period. As far as crowd-pleasing finishes and dramatic sequences go, few matches have done it better. Over a dozen two-counts populated the match, many of them taking place during a rapid-fire sequence just preceding the crescendo. You know fans are hooked on a story when a simple backdrop to the outside sends tens of thousands of fans into ecstasy. Anyone that doesn't see the appeal of this match is missing out on a beautifully crafted story, one that inspired many in the following generation of wrestlers.
