Ranking Every WWE Change Affected By The ‘Fiend’ From Worst To Best
Randy Orton, Alexa Bliss, Seth Rollins and more - WWE's 'Fiend' has changed them all.
The 'Fiend' hasn't been perfect.
That sweeping understatement isn't the damning critical verdict it may appear. In fact, Bray Wyatt's bold alter ego has done some serious good for WWE, and he's managed to do it despite fighting against a machine that's grown addicted to tropes like 50/50 booking or throwing things at the wall to find out what's even slightly sticky.
Change is inevitable in wrestling, but the sheer amount of it Wyatt's monster has been responsible for is staggering. There aren't many workers this 'Fiend' has feuded with who haven't changed a lick, or been impacted in some way. Hell, Goldberg might be the only one, and that's likely only because his invincible brick wall guise is so one-dimensional to start with.
Since debuting in 2019, the 'Fiend' has consistently been one of the most interesting characters on your telly box - even when the booking is bad or matches stink the place out, his menacing aura and bizarre contrast to those ultra-colourful 'Firefly Fun House' segments make the persona watchable.
Nobody can deny the impact this masked nightmare has had on WWE's roster. For better or worse...
10. The Miz
It's astounding considering he has one of the most slappable faces ever, but The Miz was actually pretty likeable as a babyface in 2019. His run was one of those, 'he's a jerk, but he's our jerk' situations, and it led to some fun stuff against Shane McMahon, Shinsuke Nakamura and others.
Then, it all went to pot.
After his mini feud with the 'Fiend', Miz turned rogue on the audience and reunited with returning longtime pal John Morrison. This should've been awesome (ahem), and yet it totally sucked. To date, Miz and Morrison have shoved lame comedy down everyone's throats, worked a terrible story with Braun Strowman and generally been the most irritating act on TV.
They're not grating in a good, heel-ish way either - they're just vacuums of entertainment. This is strange, because they should be a great laugh and have excellent tag matches aplenty too. Post-'Fiend', Miz is back to peak 2006 levels of annoyance.
