Ranking Every WWE WrestleMania Main Event - From Worst To Best

20. CM Punk vs Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins (WrestleMania 41, Night 1)

CM Punk might be one of the most polarizing pro wrestlers to ever reach main event level, but whichever way you slice it, it is an outrage that he had to wait this long to fulfill his destiny and headline a night of WrestleMania. After returning in 2023, injury kept him off of the WrestleMania 40 card, but a sensational feud with Seth Rollins and a simmering rivalry with Roman Reigns led to a Triple Threat Match for the ages as the headline match of Night 1 of WrestleMania 41.

The history between all three men is as deep as the ocean. Punk first brought The Shield to the main roster at Survivor Series 2012, and Seth Rollins and CM Punk's rivalry bled from real-life animosity into the WWE from the second that Punk returned at Survivor Series in Chicago back in 2023. Punk defeated Rollins on Raw's 2025 Netflix debut, but Rollins equaled the score in a steel cage match, in which Roman Reigns pulled Seth out of the cage to beat him for his actions at the Royal Rumble, where Punk eliminated both men before Seth assaulted Punk and Reigns on the outside.

Add to this that Punk was owed a favor by Paul Heyman for helping Roman Reigns at WarGames at Survivor Series 2024, and his favor turned out to be taking Paul Heyman, Roman's wiseman, to be in his corner at WrestleMania, and the stage was set for an incredible, physical match to headline the show of shows. Heyman would turn on both Punk and Reigns to side with Seth Rollins, giving 'The Architect' the victory and severe bragging rights for the year ahead.
