13. Sasha Banks vs Bianca Belair (WrestleMania 37, Night 1)

A match between two of the greatest superstars of their respective eras, Bianca Belair vs Sasha Banks headlining night one of WrestleMania 37 was significant for reasons bigger than wrestling. Two superstars who had risen from NXT to prove their worth on the main roster, the start of this match involved one of the most moving moments in WrestleMania history.

After Bianca Belair's victory at the 2021 Royal Rumble, she took aim at Sasha Banks and the SmackDown Women's Championship. Her journey to the top of the mountain was easy for any fan who'd seen her meteoric rise over the years, while Sasha Banks had long-since cemented her place as one of the greats of women's wrestling and wasn't about to give that up any time soon.

This paled into insignificance compared to the opening of their WrestleMania match. Black superstars and women have always endured a struggle to be recognised for their worth in WWE, and as the bell rang to start their match, Banks and Belair spontaneously shared tears that added enormous cultural significance to two women of colour headlining WrestleMania for the very first time. What followed was a supreme showing of athleticism and power, as both women gave the performance of a lifetime, with Belair eventually devastating Banks with the KOD for the win.
