Dave Meltzer is wrestling's most notorious wrestling historian, and his years of tireless work have given rise to the popularity of wrestling journalism as an art form. He is the world's most well-recognized squared circle scribe, and his match ratings are debated by Dave-obsessed fans every week without fail.

Every writer in wrestling has faced accusations of bias, but the people of Reddit are convinced that Uncle Dave is actively part of All Elite Wrestling. Whether it's that he's being paid to be kind about the promotion or actively on the booking committee depends on how deep you dive down the conspiracy rabbit hole, but folks are convinced that his love of the Dub runs deeper than glazing Will Ospreay at every opportunity.
