Chris Jericho has revealed that AEW boss Tony Khan was left steaming "mad" over the star rating Dave Meltzer handed his match vs. Jon Moxley on the 10 August 2022 edition of Dynamite.

Speaking via his podcast, Jericho said that The Wrestling Observer chief handed that bout "four and three quarter" stars instead of the full five-star treatment. That, apparently, didn't sit too well with Tony - he believed Jericho vs. Mox was fully-deserving of more, and let that be known to anyone who'd listen behind the scenes afterwards.

What did Jericho think about it all? Well, he told listeners he agreed with Khan, because he loved the match and thought reliving his old 'Lionheart' persona was a hoot. He's also proud that both were able to step up and cover for an injured CM Punk.

Meltzer really liked the match, but didn't go all in on five stars. Khan, who takes star ratings and critical acclaim/criticism online very seriously, was p*ssed that neither man got to boast about a higher score from The Observer's overseer.

Some fans will surely have a field day with this anger on social media.
