Take a bigger bow, Seth Rollins.
In 2018, Rollins was the babyface of all babyfaces in WWE. He was what the company had hoped Roman Reigns would be years before him; Seth had a connection to internet 'smarks' and some casuals alike, and he could work with all shapes and sizes inside the ring. There was no better all-rounder in the company when he was Intercontinental Champion.
His two reigns took in WrestleMania 34, SummerSlam and more. The aforementioned feud with Dolph Ziggler was an incendiary reminder of Ziggler's brilliance with the right opponent, and Seth even worked his tail off to reinvent old pal Dean Ambrose as a heel. Oh yes, 2018 was one hell of a 12-month period for 2020's 'Monday Night Messiah'.
The ridiculously high bar he set with each of his matches against Dolph, Ambrose, Kevin Owens, Elias, Baron Corbin and more should never be forgotten. It's just a shame WWE couldn't follow up Intercontinental genius with Universal acclaim.
