Real Reason Mercedes Moné Wins So Many Titles (AEW News)
Why so many companies want to put a title on AEW's Mercedes Moné.
Having now become 12 Belts Moné, there's a little more information on why so many promotions are keen to have AEW's Mercedes Moné win their respective titles.
Of course, this past weekend saw Mercedes win the interim ROH Women's TV Title at AEW WrestleDream, then head to Winnipeg the following day to defeat TNA's Jody Threat for the WPW Women's Title. And on that topic, Winnipeg Pro Wrestling has pointed out the major benefits of having Moné on one of their shows and representing them as a champion.
This all started with the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer commenting on X as to why it's "ludicrous" for anyone to think Mercedes holding so many titles is a bad thing.

From there, WPW responded to Meltzer's X post, detailing the ticket sales and fan response to bringing in the CEO.

Prior to this past weekend's WPW Rumble in the Burt, company co-owner Devin Bray told POST Wrestling how they attracted "a couple of hundred more people who didn't know we existed who live here and are wrestling fans" after the announcement that Mercedes Moné would be in action.
For those keeping track, Ultimo Moné is now the AEW TBS Champion, the AEW Women's Owen Hart Cup Champion, the CMLL Women's Champion, the RevPro Undisputed British Women's Champion (which also includes the Queen of the Southside Championship), the EWA Women's Champion, the Prime Time Wrestling Women's Champion, the BestYa Women's Champion, the Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women's Champion, the BODYSLAM Women's Champion, the interim ROH Women's TV Champion, and the WPW Women's Champion.
On top of that, Moné will face Kris Statlander for the AEW Women's Championship at AEW Full Gear next month, where, unless anything changes between then and now, Mercedes will be bidding to become 13 Belts Moné at that PPV.
While Mercedes Moné obviously brings plenty of eyes to the various promotions she's now a champion in, the biggest test, of course, will come when it's time for Mercedes to start losing those titles. In theory, having her return to those companies and put over one of their upcoming stars by dropping the belt to them should give a substantial shot in the arm to that promotion and that particular talent. However, if it ends up being a case of Moné simply vacating championships, that could be a problem.
Either way, as it stands, Mercedes is currently 12 Belts Moné, with the prospect of a 13th on the horizon when Full Gear rolls around on 22 November.
