Report: Cody Rhodes To Be "Focal Point" Of Tonight's WWE Raw!
WWE is reportedly putting plans together for Cody Rhodes, WrestleMania 38, and tonight's Raw.
WWE may have something up its sleeve regarding Cody Rhodes for tonight's episode of Raw.
While recent behind-the-scenes talk pointed toward the former AEW star not returning to the company until WrestleMania 38 (2/3 April), Dave Meltzer reports that while WWE's plans are always subject to change, the promotion has prepared graphics (and potentially other materials) for the big comeback.
Speaking on today's episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer stated that while he isn't sure how WWE plans on announcing Cody's WrestleMania participation, it'll like be one of the focal points of Raw tonight - if not the focal point.
Rhodes' name has been linked heavily to WWE since his AEW departure in mid-February. Though the story has evolved several times over the past few weeks, he is now expected to wrestle Stamford stalwart Seth Rollins at 'Mania 38, having already signed his big-money contract with the Vince McMahon-helmed market leaders.
Whether or not Cody will make an in-person appearance on tonight's Raw remains to be seen. It could be that WWE has simply produced graphics to show during the episode, saving the comeback proper for 'Mania.
Rhodes previously wrestled for WWE between 2006 and 2016, when he asked for (and was granted) his release after a lengthy period of creative frustration.
