Ricochet Apologises After Nasty Twitter/X Scandal (AEW News)
Ricochet apologises for saying he's "glad" somebody has MS.
AEW's Ricochet has posted an apology on X after telling a fan, "I'm glad you got MS."
This whole situation started when an X user, Sandi T, said, "His acting hasn't improved," in relation to Ricochet's reaction - having a breakdown backstage - to losing the AEW National Title at Revolution over the weekend.
Sandi's X profile notes that she's "trying not to let my MS control my life." For clarification, MS is Multiple Sclerosis, a debilitating, incurable condition that affects the brain and spinal cord. And this is what Ricochet, in a since-deleted X post, said he's "glad" that Sandi has.
Following this, Ricochet initially responded to the backlash to his comments by highlighting some of the negative comments he and his wife, Samantha Irvin, have received online. He also retweeted a couple of posts defending his comments to Sandi.
Its soooo hilarious that the amount of little bitches who has tweeted and wished harm on me, who has wished even death, said some of the most VILE things to me AND my wife. People who try and make fun of me EVERYDAY. But those same little bitches can't take it when I do it back…

Since then, not only has the original post to Sandi been deleted, but Ricochet has posted an apology, saying Sandi "didn't deserve" that response and that he'd taken out his "hatred for the IWC" on her.
I took out my hatred for the IWC on Sandi, and inadvertently others who are effected by MS. She didnt deserve it and for that, I sincerely apologize.

There's no word yet on whether anyone from AEW management has spoken to Ricochet about any of this.
While Ricochet is correct in pointing out some of the vile abuse he and his wife received from idiots online, and he's never been shy about confronting these idiots, not to mention he's often used social media to lean into his heel character, it's an entirely different thing to mock somebody's severe medical condition.
Hopefully, lessons can be learned here, and this yet again shows why it's good to just disconnect from the online world at times.
