Roman Reigns spoke to the media ahead of yesterday's WWE Super ShowDown 2020 event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with one of the questions revolving around who he'd like to wrestle at WrestleMania 36.

'The Big Dog's' answer? "I would much rather face 'The Fiend.' He has busted his *ss all year long for it. No offense to Goldberg, he's a great performer, he's a great Superstar, but I'm into the future right now."

Oh dear. That didn't work out too well for him.

A shocking Super ShowDown booking decision saw Goldberg take the WWE Unviersal Championship from Bray Wyatt in just a couple of minutes. Though 'The Fiend' kicked out of several Spears, he mustered only a few slithers of offense before the former WCW Champion put him down with a sloppy-looking Jackhammer, scoring his second Universal Title reign.

Goldberg will now presumably carry the belt into WrestleMania 36. It's thought that Elimination Chamber will host a number one contender's bout for the Universal strap, with Reigns a red-hot favourite to take the W. Thus, we're probably getting Goldberg and Roman in Tampa.

Using the Brock Lesnar/Goldberg format from WrestleMania 33 could yield a fun match, but it isn't hard to understand why Reigns would rather have faced Wyatt.
