Roman Reigns Passes New WWE Milestone
Undisputed WWE Universal Champ Roman Reigns just passed another milestone.
Roman Reigns has officially reached the 800-day mark as WWE Universal Champion.
The 'Tribal Chief' won that belt from Bray Wyatt at Payback 2020 on 30 August 2020 - it's worth noting that Roman actually pinned Braun Strowman in a three-way bout on that pay-per-view, not Wyatt's 'Fiend' character, but WWE won't fuss over minor details like that.
Of course, Reigns then went on to capture the WWE Title from Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 earlier this year. At time of writing on Tuesday, that particular championship reign sits at 219 days. It's unlikely that Roman's WWE Title reign will last quite as long as the Universal one, but who knows?
It certainly doesn't look like the company's centrepiece is losing either belt anytime soon.
Triple H might look to split both World Titles again though, and it's always possible that Reigns drops the WWE Title eventually but holds onto the Universal prize. At this point, it'd be worthwhile just going all the way to 1,000 days with that stint so Paul Heyman has more to crow about during gushing promos for his client.
800 days though. Wow!
