Figure Four Weekly are reporting that WWE officials have handed Roman Reigns the weekend off as he continues to mourn the recent passing of his brother, former WWE superstar Rosey.

Reportedly dying of congestive heart failure on April 17, Matt Anoa'i was only 47 years old and Reigns will require time to process what has happened. Therefore, the polarising star will not work WWE live events this coming weekend and has been handed some brief compassionate leave to mourn the loss of his sibling.

Currently embroiled in a feud with Braun Strowman that's pivotal to the upcoming Payback pay-per-view on April 30, Reigns will still be in attendance for Monday Night Raw after this weekend's short sabbatical.

From Raw onwards, it appears things will be business as usual for Reigns, because WWE will want him to be there for crucial build towards the Strowman match and keep his momentum ticking along after defeating The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33.

It's good of WWE to hand Roman the weekend off, because there's no way his head can be on wrestling after the shock death of his brother, and he will want to be with family.
