Following earlier reports that Ronda Rousey nearly quit WWE earlier in the week, the Rowdy One has taken to Twitter to play down such stories.

These reports surfaced in the aftermath of Night 1 of WrestleMania 38, with Rousey said to be "furious" at not being given the main event spots on 'Mania 38's first leg.

Of course, that headline spot ultimately went to Steve Austin vs. Kevin Owens, and Ronda found herself and Charlotte Flair going on second-to-last on Night 1. There, Flair would score the somewhat surprising victory following a ref bump and a boot to the face of Rousey.

During an appearance on The Ellen Show in the build to WrestleMania 38, the former UFC Woman's Bantamweight Champion stated outright how she was set to main event one of the night's of this year's 'Mania - marking that out as her second WrestleMania main event spot. At this same time, numerous reports were claiming that The KO Show featuring 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin was down to nab that headline segment.

This morning brought rumblings that Rousey was so upset and angry at not closing out the show, she almost quit WWE entirely on Friday, complete with her storming out of SmackDown and missing the Hall of Fame ceremony.

Clarifying matters, the one-time Raw Women's Champion has said how much of an honour it was to perform under Stone Cold, and explained how she missed Friday's Hall of Fame ceremony as she needed to put her six-month-old daughter to sleep.
