Talk that All Elite Wrestling's Executive Vice Presidents had put feelers out to WWE appears to be wide of the mark - at least when it comes to The Young Bucks.

It had been stated over the weekend that Matt and Nick Jackson had contacted the market leaders, suggesting they were willing to listen to offers upon becoming free agents. This came from Ryan Frederick of the Wrestling Observer, who claimed to have heard as much from several people, though he stressed that the Bucks were likely making this move in order to maximise their own leverage in contract negotiations.

Dave Meltzer has since moved to dispel the speculation. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, he confirmed that the Bucks are, indeed, under AEW contract through 2023, with their current deals set to expire on 1 January 2024. Meltzer also denied that Matt and Nick had reached out to WWE.

The Bucks and fellow AEW EVP Kenny Omega are currently suspended from the promotion following the post-All Out 2022 brawl. This is pending a third-party investigation commissioned into the incident by AEW, with all involved parties temporarily iced.

AEW's fourth founding EVP, Cody Rhodes, jumped ship to WWE this April.
