As per Mike Johnson over at PWInsider, McMahon will be a regular presence on the Raw brand from here on out. In addition to that information, Shane will also be operating as a heel during this run.

Prior to returning at this past weekend's Royal Rumble show, the former European Champion and SmackDown Tag Team Champion was last in action in a losing effort at WrestleMania 37. There, he was bested by Braun Strowman in a cage match bout. As for the Rumble, McMahon entered the men's over-the-top extravaganza at #28, eliminated Kevin Owens, and would make it to the final three of the match - before then being eliminated by eventual winner Brock Lesnar.

Where it pertains to Shane's Rumble match involvement, the eldest McMahon sibling is said to have major heat backstage right now. Why's that? Well, that's due to how he served as the lead writer and producer of the men's Royal Rumble and made sure to make himself look strong in the 30-man offering.
