On the morning of December 4th, it was revealed that six-time pro wrestling champion and WWE WrestleMania 30 main eventer Dave Batista would be cast as the villain "Mr. Hinx" in latest James Bond film Spectre. The role follows Batista's casting and breakout success as "Drax the Destroyer" in Guardians of the Galaxy, released in the summer of 2014. 2015 is quite the year for the wrestler-turned-actor, as between the Bond role, a starring shot in thriller Bus 657 and the reboot of classic 80s film Kickboxer, he'll be quite busy. If a fan of film, Dave Batista provides a brand new action star to the screen, a guy who refreshes the now stereotypical Arnold Schwarzenegger role of a tough guy bodybuilder with a heart of gold. Once thought to be where The Rock would excel, Batista has found his own niche as an actor, and this important cinematic role could not have found a better occupant. If a fan of pro wrestling, the WWE Universe's hot and cold response to Batista's last run may have proven Batista to be no longer a good fit for the wrestling world, and the former Evolution member moving on may provide a sigh of relief and tremendous joy for wrestling fans worldwide. All this being said, here's ten reasons to be very excited about Dave Batista's biggest acting role-to-date.
