The Bayley Situation Is Getting RIDICULOUS! Latest Contract Update (WWE News)
There are conflicting reports on Bayley's WWE future. Is she staying or going?!
There are huge contrasting (and contradicting) reports on the future of Bayley.
The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer has claimed that the veteran's contract extension with WWE is all but done. He previously reported to fans that Bayley had signed a new deal before she returned to screens and went after old tag-team partner Lyra Valkyria on Monday's episode of Raw.
Here's where things get super-interesting. Mike Johnson from PWInsider claims that's totally false. He had the following to say: "Multiple WWE sources have indicated that there were no conversations about Bayley signing a new deal as she still has lots of time left on her contract. Anyone claiming she signed a new deal as a condition of her return would be 100% wrong".
Hmm, who to believe? That is the question. Of course, only Bayley herself, WWE management and some of the star's closest friends or family members will really know what's going on here. However, it certainly wouldn't make sense for Triple H and TKO to bring her back to television and resume the Lyra beef if Bayley was simply ticking time down before departing.
She's been linked with a jump to AEW for a while now, mainly due to the expiring WWE contract story and because her good friend Mercedes Mone works for Tony Khan's group. Meltzer says there's no chance Bayley is joining Mone anytime soon, but Johnson wants everyone to hold their horses on celebrating a new contract extension.
The plot thickens. For now, at least, Bayley is back in the mix on WWE programming.
