WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has been discussing the internal feeling behind the scenes at WWE regarding Brock Lesnar's impending retirement. Or, to put it another way, exactly what Brock's current status is in the company. There is talk that he's done for good after putting Oba Femi over on Sunday at WrestleMania 42.

Fightful's write up suggested that there's "a strong belief" backstage that Lesnar was "genuinely saying goodbye" post-match when he took off his gloves and boots then left them inside the ring post-defeat. However, others in the organisation reckon there's a solid chance that 'The Beast' will return for one more match at SummerSlam in August.

Then, that could be a career for Brock.

SummerSlam in Minnesota chat is doing the rounds "because he's got roots there". So, many believe it'd make sense for Lesnar to bow out later this year and gift WWE one last parting shot, presumably against Gunther. Of course, it's really up to Brock what he wants to do.

This wasn't included in Fightful's report, but it's worth noting that Paul Heyman owes the 'Ring General' a favour for stepping up to fight Seth Rollins at 'Mania. It's entirely possible that Gunther hands Heyman an ultimatum - give him Lesnar at SummerSlam or face the consequences.

Something physical between Gunther and Paul could lead to Brock's return, and WWE's announcers could explain away that he was forced to come back and save his longtime advocate. Then, creative can line up the SummerSlam match rather easily.

Or, is Lesnar actually done done? Only time will tell.
