The WORST Moment From Every WWE WrestleMania

4. Vince McMahon’s Last Match (WrestleMania 38)

Vince McMahon literally booked a limo explosion in 2007 so he wouldn't have to appear as a television character any longer. A full 15 years later, he worked his last match ever at WrestleMania 38. So much for that! Sure, the onscreen death thing was scrapped due to the grim reality of Chris Benoit's demise, but still.

There was no call for a McMahon match in 2022. Worse, he was out there mucking around with commentator Pat McAfee. Don't get it twisted: McAfee can be an asset between the ropes with the right opponent (Adam Cole, for example), but Vince was not the right guy for him to work with. This was appalling.

McMahon accompanied protege Austin Theory to ringside for his bout vs. Pat. Post-win for McAfee, Vince accepted a challenge from him to work an impromptu scrap and hit the ring. The then-boss should’ve known better than to gobble up precious airtime at WrestleMania, but he let his ego win out.

The stunner he took from Steve Austin was one of the worst of all time too. It made the original from 1997 look like The Rock was out there flipping into some ropes after taking the move. This wasn't cute, it wasn't endearing - it was downright atrociously bad, and it had no place on the weekender's format sheets.

However, it does kinda look like McAfee has been cut in half by Vince's lariat in that pic above. The real Clothesline From Hell, huh? This match, short though it proved to be, was certainly hellish.
