The WORST Moment From Every WWE WrestleMania

3. Snoop Dogg Wins At ‘Mania (WrestleMania 39)

2 April 2023 was the end of Shane McMahon in WWE. A year earlier, his dad had trundled his way through a rotten send off. Then, at WrestleMania 39, Shane-O replicated his father's infamous 2005 Royal Rumble moment by ripping his quads whilst performing a leap frog spot vs. The Miz. WWE had no choice but to call the match off.

Snoop Dogg was McMahon's replacement. Yes, seriously.

The rapper was appearing as a guest anyway, so he agreed to put life and limb on the line by battling a former WWE Champion. To his credit, Miz rolled with all the chaos that was going on and ended his evening by staring at the lights for the dude who'd penned 'Gin and Juice'. Here's hoping someone patted Miz on the back and stuck a drink in his hand post-match. He'd earned it.

The whole Shane injury, match call off then Snoop substitute deal was bizarre. It might be considered entertaining in a perverse way, but it still ranks as the standout duff moment from 'Mania 39. WWE went right from this to a Hell In A Cell bout pitting Edge vs. Finn Bálor. As you do.

Obviously, it's not nice that somebody actually got hurt in-ring, but few were sad to see the back of Shane as a TV concern after 'Mania. His contract ran out in 2024, and it's been fairly quiet on the Shane-O-Mac front since then (other than AEW rumours), so this could well go down in history as his last match for the company ever.
