A mandatory backstage meeting was held before last night's episode of AEW Dynamite, reports Fightful Select.

The outlet reported several hours prior to the show that attendance was mandatory for talent, with recent hot-button topics like talk of backstage unrest, personal issues, and more to be discussed. Not all AEW roster members were brought to Cleveland, Ohio for last night's tapings, however.

In an update, Fightful stated that AEW founder and CEO Tony Khan was "fired up" for the occasion. Teamwork, communication, who talent should go to if they have concerns, and access to Khan were all brought up. Executive Vice Presidents Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks then stated that their doors are always open to talent as well, making themselves available.

Rumours of recent contract tampering were brought up too. As mentioned at the meeting, AEW's Chief Legal Officer had sent an email to WWE co-CEOs Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan addressing this. Previously, Fightful had reported that WWE had reached out to a contracted AEW star about potentially returning to the market leaders.

Former World Champion Chris Jericho and Senior Producer and Special Advisor and Talent Relations Tony Schiavone also spoke during the meeting, though there's no word on what they said.

Talk of backstage discord in AEW has been rife lately, most notably concerning CM Punk and 'Hangman' Adam Page following their World Title program.
