Triple H Signs Multi-Year WWE Contract Renewal After Vote Of Confidence (WWE News)
Paul Levesque recently signed a new multi-year deal to remain as WWE CCO.
While some fans continue to question WWE's creative decisions in recent weeks and months, the company's Chief Content Officer isn't going anywhere any time soon.
Fightful Select was first to report that it had been "alluded" to them that Paul Levesque had signed a new long-term deal to extend his stay as the WWE CCO. PWInsider has followed up on that topic, adding that Levesque has penned a multi-year deal that's believed to be as long as three years. And for those wondering, this contract was completed before WrestleMania 42.
This news comes on the heels of WWE President Nick Khan praising Triple H in a company-wide town hall on Monday. There, Khan shot back at online fan criticisms of "over-commercialisation and creative direction," assigning such criticism to a "vocal minority" on social media.
The Game has been in that CCO position since September 2022, where he heads up the creative direction of the company. While there is obviously a creative team working underneath him - as seen in depth on WWE Unreal, of course - the final decision on creative ultimately stops with Levesque.
Prior to that CCO role, it was first acknowledged on screen in 2011 that the 14-time World Champion had taken up a Chief Operating Officer gig, which was used on TV to pit Trips against CM Punk after the Second City Saint's pipebomb and subsequent taking hostage of the WWE Championship.
In addition to his work as the WWE CCO, Triple H has been a sporadic presence on WWE programming across the past few years, most recently appearing as part of the build to WrestleMania 42's Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi match.
