Following the groundbreaking announcement on RAW of the first-ever female exclusive WWE pay-per-view, current superstar Mickie James and women's wrestling icon Trish Stratus have been hinting on social media about renewing their classic rivalry for one more match at WWE Evolution on 29 October.

After a fan tweeted Stratus over the weekend regarding her feud with James and how legendary it was, Trish agreed and shared photos from their encounters at WrestleMania 22 in 2006 and the Royal Rumble earlier this year.

Following Stephanie McMahon's announcement of the Evolution event, James replied to Stratus, saying:-

The two initially feuded over the WWE Women's Championship in early 2006, culminating at WrestleMania 22 where James won her first-ever title. They last faced off one-on-one at Madison Square Garden in November 2006 but had an exchange during the inaugural Women's Royal Rumble match in January which saw Stratus eliminating James from the contest.

There has been much speculation about what matches and who would make up the first-ever female exclusive pay-per-view, especially as Steph mentioned that over 50 WWE women past and present would be involved. Regardless, with Hall of Famers Lita and Trish Stratus specifically mentioned on the website, it would make sense to assume their involvement and a renewal of one of the best ever women's division rivalries would be a highly-anticipated contest.
