Rumours of Snoop Dogg's backstage heat in WWE have been greatly exaggerated.

This is according to a new report from Fightful Select stating that the legendary West Coast rapper has no heat in the world's biggest wrestling promotion whatsoever, despite appearing on this week's New Year's Smash episode of AEW Dynamite.

In fact, several people within WWE predicted Snoop working with AEW and Cody Rhodes in some capacity, as he and 'The Prince of Pro Wrestling' are currently working as judges on the Go-Big Show, which debuted on Wednesday evening. WWE currently has no deal with snoop, meaning they have no good reason to be upset with him.

That WWE's line of Snoop Dogg/The Undertaker merchandise went missing from their online stores around the time of the rapper's AEW debut announcement bred conspiracy theories revolving around backstage issues. It was later revealed that the merch was only supposed to be available until early December in the first place.

Snoop played a prominent role on this week's Dynamite, "coaching" Rhodes to a victory over Matt Sydal before hitting a Five Star Dogg Splash on Serpentico in the post-match angle. He also worked a backstage segment with Private Party and Matt Hardy.
