"Vince Is His Own Biggest Nemesis" - Stephanie McMahon (WWE News)
The rare subject of Vince McMahon arises...
On the latest episode of her podcast 'What's Your Story?', Stephanie McMahon sat down with WWE President Nick Khan. The rare topic of Vince McMahon arose.
When discussing the subject of resilience on the pod, and whether it is something you are born with or learn from experience, Stephanie brought up her father. She said that he was a victim of abuse in is childhood years, which honed his instincts to survive. Referring to her father as an "empire builder", Stephanie also opined that nobody can take that away from him, even if his "biggest nemesis" is "himself".
You'd think Vince McMahon’s current biggest nemesis is the legal system.
It's not too often you hear his name uttered much these days, after he twice resigned in disgrace in 2022 and 2024. He is not exactly persona non grata. Stephanie has discussed him before, in conversation with Dana White, putting over his carefree attitude when telling the story of the time Vince told a Christian to "stick her God up her ass".
Still, it's strange. Mentioning Vince apropos of nothing seems counterproductive, given that WWE has established Paul Levesque as the face and mascot of the company in a bid to distance itself from the ongoing scandal. This tidbit is halfway interesting, if not exactly an insight into the current state of the relationship between Vince and his family. This chat followed the usual pattern, on the rare occasions Vince's name is brought up his family. It's evasive. Words and phrases like "complicated" and "good and bad" are often used. Do the other McMahons maintain a relationship with Vince? Is he brought up infrequently so as to avoid that exact question?
Who knows.
