Vince McMahon Upset With WWE Roster?
Why WWE's locker-room is feeling the wrath of Vince McMahon right now...
Vince McMahon is reportedly upset with members of his talent roster for failing to take precautions during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Per Fightful Select, the WWE Chairman and CEO was upset to learn that a wrestler visited an amusement park without wearing a mask at some point over the past few weeks, despite the boss stressing the importance of talent doing whatever they can to mitigate COVID-related risks.
McMahon sent several messages to his locker-room following this incident. Fightful state that it went down sometime around Super Bowl LV (7 February), with Vince saying he didn't want talent going to parties without wearing masks.
In addition, some WWE staff members have had their responsibilities within the company diminished after being photographed without wearing masks.
WWE has felt the impact of numerous COVID-19 outbreaks since the ongoing global health crisis first forced promotions to take action last March, with the most recent one going down in January. Also impacting AEW and Impact Wrestling, it resulted in multiple appearances and matches being scrapped.
Vince's promotion was initially slow to implement safety protocols, leading to reports of "frustrated" talent behind the scenes. This new report suggests things have tightened up since then.
