This is according to Andrew Zarian. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, he stated that somebody on the Warner side had stated that the organisation would "love" AEW to hold more supercards.

It was stressed that Warner Bros. Discovery is not forcing AEW into making any moves in this regard. That the next Ring Of Honor pay-per-view, Death Before Dishonor 2022, was announced shortly after Zarian was told this information could be part of it, however. The upcoming 23 July event was described as a potential test for ROH the BR Live platform depending on how it performs.

Forbidden Door (26 June) was AEW's first full collaborative event with New Japan Pro Wrestling. It was a resounding success critically and commercially, with approximately 127,000 buys across traditional and digital platforms generating around $4.4 million in net revenue. Additionally, over $1 million was raised in ticket sales.

AEW currently runs four pay-per-views annual (February's Revolution, May's Double Or Nothing, September's All Out, and November's Full Gear) along with an assortment of television specials, including last week's Blood & Guts.
