Pulled from last Wednesday's episode of AEW Dynamite, the Undisputed Elite man should be ready to go again by AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on 26 June. This is according to Bryan Alvarez on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.

In Alvarez's words, AEW is "going to let [Cole] rest up" before he returns to action.

Cole was originally advertised for a 10-man tag on last week's Dynamite, where he would have teamed with The Young Bucks and reDRagon to face The Hardys, Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Jungle Boy. He ended up being replaced by NJPW's Hikuleo, while the opposing team substituted the injured Jeff Hardy for Darby Allin.

While there is currently no word on what kind of injury Cole is suffering from, whatever ails him was reported as the reason behind his Dynamite withdrawal.

Cole last wrestled for AEW at Double Or Nothing 2022 on 29 May. Defeating Samoa Joe to win the inaugural men's Owen Hart Cup, that triumph was his 15th from 17 sanctioned matches so far in 2022.
