Ex-ECW original and short-lived WWE star C.W Anderson has announced on Instagram that he wants to scrap his retirement and make a pro wrestling return in 2021.

The 49-year old had previously announced his retirement last summer after saying he'd lost his passion for wrestling; Anderson will turn 50 on 7 January, and said during his lengthy social media post that retiring was "the worst mistake" he's ever made. Now, returning to the ring is one of his top new year resolutions for 2021.

Anderson also thanked friends and fans who had messaged with support for his decision last year. The amount of DMs he received let C.W know that he still has a place in the industry - in other words, the love of others rekindled his own zest for wrasslin'. That's pretty cool.

C.W added that he was "in a dark place in [his] life last June, and he wouldn't consider another retirement from the ring unless he was physical unable to work matches. He's keen to get going again, but knows he might have to wait until indy promoters start booking more shows.
