Who Was AEW's Top Merch Seller In 2022? (Hint: NOT CM Punk...)
The AEW wrestler who sold the most merchandise in 2022 is...
Danhausen sold more merchandise than any other AEW wrestler in 2022, beating CM Punk, the company's biggest draw during his time as an active competitor.
Pro Wrestling Tees (through whom AEW sell their merchandise) revealed as much on 1 January. Danhausen is tailed by Punk in second place, with MJF, The Acclaimed, and Jon Moxley rounding out the top five.
Britt Baker was the highest-ranking AEW woman at 18. At no. 21, Hikaru Shida was the division's other representative.

In October, The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn's 'Scissor Me Daddy A**!' shirt was pinpointed as AEW's best-selling individual merchandise item of 2022 so far. It's therefore no surprise to see The Acclaimed positioned so high following their breakout year.
That Danhausen finished in the top spot is surprising from a card positioning standpoint but not from a popularity standpoint. The very nice, very evil Best Friends affiliate continually commands some of AEW's greatest crowd reactions, even though he isn't on television as often as some of his rostermates. A cult hero in ROH and on the independent scene pre-AEW, his popularity has translated seamlessly into the mainstream.
