Why AEW Just Ended Several Suspensions: Backstage Reaction & More
A number of AEW suspensions handed out after All Out 2022 have now ended.
Christopher Daniels, Pat Buck, Brandon Cutler, and Michael Nakazawa all had their All Elite Wrestling suspensions lifted this week, having been penalised for being present during the already-infamous post-show brawl that engulfed AEW in controversy following All Out 2022.
Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the above suspensions were ended as a consequence of an investigation into the fracas. It was determined that Buck, Daniels, Cutler, and Nakazawa had tried to break up the fight and calm people down, with any speculation that they were brawling themselves or behaving aggressively proven false.
The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega remain suspended following All Out. CM Punk and Ace Steel, meanwhile, have also been sidelined, though whether or not they were suspended isn't confirmed.
Fightful Select reports that sources believe Cutler, Nakazawa, Daniels, and Buck were suspended as a precautionary measure prior to more information becoming available. The outlet hadn't heard of these parties doing anything malicious during the brawl.
Whether or not the independent investigation launched into the All Out fight has been concluded yet remains to be seen, though further information is expected to come to light soon.
