New updates on the ongoing saga surrounding All Elite Wrestling's post-All Out 2022 brawl are expected imminently.

This is according to PWTorch's Wade Keller, who reports that the silence surrounding the situation will soon end, potentially as soon as later this week.

AEW dominated the news cycle last week. This was largely down to the backstage fight that erupted after its post-All Out media scrum on 4 September, where new World Champion CM Punk blasted AEW's Executive Vice Presidents, 'Hangman' Adam Page, Colt Cabana, and more in an incendiary rant, doing so while sat beside company founder and CEO Tony Khan.

While accounts of how the fight started vary from source to source, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega are understood to have approached Punk in his locker room after the scrum. A fight erupted. Again, concrete details are sketchy, but Punk is believed to have thrown at least one punch at Matt Jackson, while Omega was bitten and had his hair pulled by producer Ace Steel.

AEW promptly pulled everyone in the room from active duty. The Bucks, Omega, Pat Buck, Christopher Daniels, Michael Nakazawa, and Brandon Cutler were suspended, though all of them bar Omega and the Bucks have since had theirs lifted. Punk and Steel, meanwhile, are in limbo.

The promotion has commissioned a third-party investigation into the fight, the process of which may include independent witnesses like MJF and AEW's Chief Legal Officer, Megha Parekh.
