Why Cesaro Is Finally Getting A WWE Push
After his WrestleMania 37 win over Seth Rollins, here's why Cesaro is finally getting his WWE due.
For the longest time, wrestling fans across the world have regularly championed the unique skills and abilities of Cesaro.
The real-life Claudio Castagnoli is someone who it is impossible not to appreciate. This is a wrestler who 'wrestles' just about as good as anyone across the globe, and the Swiss Superman is one of numerous WWE talents over the years who fans have been eager to see Vince McMahon's sports entertainment juggernaut do more with.
Names like Rusev, Luke Harper and Ricochet quickly come to mind when thinking of talent WWE should - and, in the case of Ricochet, still could - have done more with, and Cesaro is someone who has often found himself in those same sort of conversations amongst fans.
While it's far from guaranteed, it looks right now that WWE has finally decided to give Cesaro a crack at solidifying himself as a main event player for the company. Big wins over Daniel Bryan and an impressive showing at this year's Elimination Chamber match were followed up by Cesaro starting a rivalry with Seth Rollins - and WrestleMania 37 saw the Swiss Cyborg get the biggest win of his career, as he bested Rollins in a phenomenal contest.
Why is WWE now finally giving Cesaro the big push we've all hoped for? Here's why...
8. The Swiss Army Knife
"Those who need to be ready for anything take one of these with them everywhere."
That's the definition of a Swiss army knife, and it's also so very applicable to WWE's Swiss Superman.
Whatever you need Cesaro to do, he can do it.
Need a midcard heel? Cesaro's your man. Need a midcard babyface? Cesaro's your man. Need someone to help out your tag team division? Cesaro's your man. Need someone to make a talent shine? Cesaro's your man. Need a wrestler to anchor a 20-minute technical masterclass? Cesaro's your man.
Just looking across Cesaro's WWE career to date - and to Claudio Castagnoli's pre-WWE days - and you can clearly see the wide variety of different hats he's worn for the company. This is a wrestler's wrestler, a professional's professional, and a person who can be relied on to fill absolutely any role you need from him.
Of course, what we've yet to truly see in WWE just yet, is Cesaro as a main event act or positioned as a true top tier talent.
Will that now finally happen in the aftermath of WrestleMania 37? Hopefully. Would he thrive in that spot? Absolutely.
