WrestleMania 43 Will Be In Saudi Arabia - Official Announcement Soon (WWE News)
WWE WrestleMania is heading to Saudi Arabia in 2027.
Following plentiful speculation over recent months, it looks as if WWE is taking WrestleMania to Saudi Arabia in 2027.
As picked up on by Fightful Select, Saudi advisor Turki Alalshikh took to Snapchat with a video stating, "For the first time outside of America, WrestleMania in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2027."
WWE has yet to formally comment on this, though one WWE higher-up told Fightful that "where there's smoke, there's fire", adding how recent Triple H comments about inspiring change in the Kingdom may have been a precursor for an imminent WrestleMania announcement.
Additionally, PWInsider notes how there was a press release released in Arabic to announce WrestleMania 43 as taking place in Saudi Arabia, but that press release was pulled shortly after it went out. This report states how the press release is believed to have been sent out accidentally and earlier than was intended.
PWInsider reiterates that this story is "100% legitimate" and that there will be an announcement "very soon" about WWE taking WrestleMania to a location outside of North America for the first time in company history.
As for when that announcement could come, Fightful understands that an announcement is planned for this Friday in Las Vegas as part of the build for the much-hyped Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford boxing match that takes place in Vegas this Saturday, as sponsored by Riyadh Season, and as promoted by TKO.
This all comes on the back of constant talk of Saudi Arabia wanting a WrestleMania at some point, with there even rumours earlier this year that we could have the standard WrestleMania in North America, then a 'Super WrestleMania' sort of event in Saudi later in the year. The Kingdom already has Royal Rumble on the way in January 2026, and it now appears that it'll be getting 'Mania the following year.
WWE is said to also be looking at establishing Wrestlepalooza as a major event in a way that would help the company to spread more PLEs out internationally, bringing in more site fees and offering up shows for locations to bid on.
