Fightful Select is reporting on rumours that WWE could hold a "special WrestleMania" over in Saudi Arabia in 2026. The website had previously covered this in late-May, but say multiple 'Manias taking place domestically and internationally "is certainly not out of the question based on what we heard".

However, sources tell them that WWE would still promote "a standard North American WrestleMania" even if they did do a 'Mania level show over in Saudi. In other words, there's scope for holding multiple WrestleManias both on US soil and internationally. That'd sort of be in line with 2018's Greatest Royal Rumble experiment.

That show took place just 3 months after the traditional Royal Rumble show. On the whole, it wasn't exactly received well by the audience that WWE held a 50-man Rumble mere months after the usual 30-man favourite. Further, the belt Braun Strowman received for winning the GRR wasn't really even acknowledged after the fact on mainline WWE television - the company shelved it quickly and quietly, and they haven't elected to run with the concept again in subsequent years.

It's important to note that nothing about the GRR was included in Fightful's write-up. Similarly, they didn't talk about what this Saudi Arabia WrestleMania would be called. "Special WrestleMania" sounds pretty lame, and "Greatest WrestleMania" might also be considered a slap in the face to fans.

'Mania has always been the golden goose of WWE pay-per-view/PLE, so Triple H and pals would need to be very careful not to stomp all over the show's branding. It's important to WWE and TKO.

Multiple WrestleManias taking place across the globe on different dates isn't out of the question though.
