WWE: 10 Attitude Era Superstars Who Could Still Make An Impact Today

5. Kurt Angle

Right off the bat, let's acknowledge that it's highly unlikely that the Olympic Gold Medalist would pass a WWE physical. But if he could, wouldn't one last run be great? You get giddy just ticking off the potential fresh matchups: Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, Roman Reigns, Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio (there's a great intro feud if you want to bring him in as a conquering hero). Not to mention possible return matches against Brock Lesnar and John Cena. On paper, Angle is the top guy available out there. In reality, is there any chance he is in any condition to stand up to the rigors of a WWE schedule? One can only hope, because that list of new matchups looks hella-impressive. Even if Angle couldn't wrestle a full or part-time schedule, he has value on the mike. Couldn't you see him heading up a stable? He did it once before with Team Angle (hmmm...), so there's no reason he couldn't grab some up-and-comers and lend them instant credibility (much like the aforementioned Team Angle). If any of the NXT hands have solid amateur backgrounds, they could make a great Team Angle 2.0.
